What changes would you like to see in Windows 9?

It’s not a secret at this point that many people don't particularly like Windows 8. Honestly, I don’t think it is THAT bad, but it certainly is different from the Windows we have gotten used to over the decades. I think of it as a modern day Windows 3.1, with the basic outline of what the OS will be in coming years established, but lots of room for evolution. What would be the top things that you would like to see Microsoft change or refine for Windows 9 (or whatever they end up naming the next Windows)?

Dump the Windows 8 interface entirely, and just use one designed exclusively for a desktop computer.

My top thing for Windows 9 would be a rollback to Windows 7. Let's pretend Windows 8 never happened. :)

There are only two things that I would really like to see changed. One - better support for displays. Display settings are inconsistent with desktop mode versus tile mode, and even when you think you’ve got it set up perfectly, when Windows 8 switches from tile to desktop (or desktop to tile) it can look really off. It’s as if they ran out of time making this a polished feature. It’s also related to my second desired change - better integration of tile and desktop mode. It almost feels like I’m virtualizing a second OS. Plus you really have to use both, and it’s distracting every time you switch between the two. The rest of it I can live with. I expect the next version to smooth things out; Windows 8 really was a major change to the UI and it will take some time to get it right across devices.
