I'd begin by checking Simply Hired, Monster, Dice and other job sites to see if your experience and skill sets match up with available jobs. From there you can submit resumes or begin building a list of skill sets you need to add to get hired.

I’m in the US, so what is true here may not be the same where you are. It sounds like you have a solid background to start a career, but you have to decide exactly what type of career you want it to be. Phil Johnson, one of the writers here at ITworld, wrote an article a couple of months ago about Javascript providing a lot of opportunity for telecommuting and freelance coding work. It’s worth a read, and something to consider. If you want to work for a large company, you can obviously follow the traditional route and submit your resume to the companies that you are interested in. As an alternative, perhaps you might want to look at telecommuting. It would open up a much larger geographic market for you, and could further fill out your resume with relevant experience. Good luck, I’m sure you will do fine!
